한곳에 머무르지 않고 이동이 잦은 현대 생활에서 환경 변화가 물건의 가치에 큰 영향을 미친다고 느꼈습니다. 다양한 장소에서 일하고 생활하는 시대에, 아무리 가치 있는 물건이라도 이동이 어렵거나 새 환경에 적합하지 않으면 그 가치는 쉽게 사라지고 결국, 그런 물건은 남겨지거나 버려지게 됩니다.
Canvas는 한국과 일본의 전통 목조건축에서 영감을 받아, 도구 없이 조립할 수 있도록 간단한 연결 방식으로 만든 모듈형 가구입니다. 작은 물건부터 3차원 구조물까지 원하는 대로
연결하고 확장할 수 있어 다양한 환경에 적합합니다. 연결된 파츠들은 모두 분해가 가능하여 이동이 용이하고 색상을 변경하여 상세하게 커스터마이징할 수 있어 자신만의 가구를 만들 수 있습니다. 파츠별로 개별 포장되어 보관이 용이하고 필요한 파츠만 추가구매하여 다른용도의 가구로도 합체가능합니다. 금속 연결 부품과 나무봉은 분해, 교체, 재활용이 가능합니다.
In today’s world, where frequent movement and relocation are common, changing environments significantly impact the value of objects. In an era where people live and work in diverse locations, even the most valuable items lose their worth if they’re difficult to transport or not suited to new surroundings. Such items are often left behind or discarded.
Canvas is a modular furniture system inspired by the traditional wood architecture of Korea and Japan. Designed with a simple connection method, it allows for assembly without tools. Canvas can be customized and expanded to suit any environment, from small items to complex three-dimensional structures. Each connected part can be easily disassembled, making it highly portable, and users can personalize their furniture in detail through color changes. The parts are individually packaged for easy storage, and additional parts can be purchased separately, allowing for reconfiguration into different furniture types. Both the metal connectors and wooden rods are fully detachable, replaceable, and recyclable.
